Network effect
Network effects are self-reinforcing processes that can lead to an exponential increase in the number of users of a platform in a short period of time.
A classic example of a positive network effect is the use of social media: If one person alone uses social media, there is no great effect. However, if several people use social media, the benefit increases with each additional user.
