For You Page (TikTok)
The "For you" page of TikTok is the same as the feed on Instagram - the homepage that you see when you open the app. Unlike Instagram, however, you immediately see the posts of users you don't follow, but who have produced content that is similar to your own interests. This is how the TikTok algorithm works: the content on the app's For You Page is personalised to each user and its composition depends on what content is viewed, how long it is viewed and how it is interacted with.
The For You Page is the reason why TikTok has more than twice the average time of use than Instagram.
