Follower

Followers are users who have subscribed to pages and profiles on social media platforms, i.e. they follow them. The term follower was first coined by the social media platform Twitter, where users can "follow" other accounts by clicking on a button of the same name and thus subscribe to their posts and status updates in their feed.

The number of followers determines the reach of the influencer and is therefore one of the most important components in influencer marketing.

On Facebook, Snapchat and YouTube, we do not speak of followers but of subscribers.
